Swans at Ogden Bay

I have found hunting swans @ Ogden Bay/Howard Slough to be spotty. Somedays you will get some good overflights, but it can be really a hit and miss scenario.
The farther north you can go - the more consistent the swan will be - so Harold Crane is better and Bear River is best. When conditions are right Bear River can't be beat for taking Swan. The Swan like to fly between Harold Crane and the southern ponds on Bear River to the feeding grounds of the private gun clubs just to the north of Bear River. They tend to follow the same flight patterns for a few days @ a time. So if you can get in the flight path you should have some great hunting.
Last year they were flying so low my dear Mother (85) could have brought 'em down.
Good Luck!
