Headed to the Gorge thurs afternoon and was on the water at 4:30 pm. The weather was beautimus until we left sat afternoon. Fishin was good and we did manage to pick up our first burbot (ugly, slippery, green thing and no scales). We saw five others caught and all were about 24 inches, kinda looks like a catfish with a pot belly, no spines and an eels tail. Trying to fillet the thing was also a chore because it was like trying to hang on to a soft greased cone, the tighter you squeezed the faster it shot out of your hands. I cooked it up like I would walleye and it was pretty good once I got the looks of the thing out of my mind. Dad and I got a pretty good chuckle when we first netted it, I had told him if we caught one I’d give it a try. Surprisingly there were only 18 boats in the linwood area (one end to the other) sat when we pulled out and the water was glassed for most of the time.

Yes, I had a little chat with Jim. He seems very knowledgeable and quite respectable.
He has always been willing to help with advice when I have asked him online, he seems like a good guy. Glad to hear you and your dad got out and enjoyed some time together did you have a better hotel experince this time?
