[KAFO]

Does anyone know if Tiger trout have been planted directly in the Weber? Caught a very agressive little guy near Morgan yesterday and was just wondering if the DWR puts them in the river or if he came out of one of the impoundments upstream.

According to the stocking reports on the DWR site they stocked roughly 30000 tigers along the Weber in both Weber and Morgan counties. Here is the link if you wanna look at it

Just out of curiosity how big was the fish? It says they were only about 2 in when they stocked em.

We saw a few electrofishng for a DWR fish study, they where anywhere from 6" to 10" or so. This was in Riverdale by the way

I only had him out of the water for a few seconds (nice barbless release) but I would guess he was in the 5"-6" range.
In reflection, due to the very high amount of natural recruitment from browns in the particular section I was fishing, it is suprising that the DWR would plant more "mouths". Especially if the fish (browns) are supposedly stunting. I guess that's why I'm not a fisheries biologist :?
