I wasn't seeing many. Even on private land on the power lines, where you normally see them. I thought they would stick around a little longer with the warmer weather we have been having.
It was worse than last year for sure but we did ok. Got checked by a DWR officer driving around (first time in +30 years!), he was surprised at how many we had, and the number of cottontails my boy had shot (my boy went nuts for rabbits... he'd get bored of waiting on doves and wander off from time to time & come back with a few each time).
Had a dove fry last night (favorite meat!), and apparently its going to be rabbits tonight.
