I'm trying to help out a friend with their hunt and we only have a few ideas.
Last weeks scouting was a bust.
I was going to check out Cascade Springs but with the fire closing roads.
Well that didn't work out.
Does anyone know where we can shoot a 350"+ bull close to the road?Because me friend isn't much of a hiker.
With the hunt starting today and my friend works until Monday.
We are running short on time.
PMs of a few different honey holes are encouraged.
Thanks

Willow Creek/Buffalo Canyon.....

Still a few left there.

Or White River, between right and left fork, just above the private ground.

And here I thought there were no elk left south of Strawberry???

Just goofin' with ya, goof!

Ridge, you would do really well to road hunt back and forth from Hwy 40 to Renegade. It is the perfect spot for 350+ class bulls from the road. They are like fish in a barrel along there. Should be really easy to find them. ;)

Just last week there was a big bull stopping traffic right off the main road. Pushing cows he was no slouch

Just wanted to say thanks to those willing to help and the PMs.
I was mainly joking about taking a 350" bull from the road but you never know. It may and almost did happen for us.
After getting the run around on a promising area from a forum member, my friend decided to re-check up on a spot he had scouted a couple weeks ago and the elk had really moved in there.
His wife ended up taking an average but nice looking 6x6.
Sorry, no pictures.
