Wow. Has the dark goose season ever gone so late into February before? I'm definitely excited to have so much more time to hunt after duck season ends.

(I'm referring to the urban zone which is open from 10/3/15 to 10/15/15 and 11/7/15 to 2/7/15)

Richard, I can't agree more on the scaup comment. Didn't see a whole lot of them till about a day or two after the season closed last year. But I did see hundreds of them floating dead and shoved in the mud and under ice as people were shooting the crap out of them then realizing the season was closed. Called the feds numerous times with no action so i quit. You would think who ever sets the dates would realize the amount of scaup in the first two weeks of the season are pretty nil to what comes later in the season. Seems like they are taking alot of opportunity away from the kids who could have a late winter hunt on scaup and not to mention having hundreds of bills left to lay and not make it to the table. A two bird limit all season would of fixed it or close it for the first two weeks or even a week split. Maybe next year the people who set the bag limits and dates will realize what a disservice they have done to the scaup let alone people who like to harvest them.
Rant over.
