On really windy days, I like to find a small cove where I can put my back to the wind. I get all five dozen of my decoys out in front of me kinda tight with a big landing zone coming down the middle of them. I call real quiet into the wind. One of the best hunt I have ever had was at cuttler. Rainin like hell and a steady 30mph wind. I got six drake mallards ten yards in front of me, hoovering two feet off the water. I would have limited out but on a double one was winged and it got to the cattails before I could get him. Never was able to find him. I counted him in my bag and went home a very very happy and wet hunter.
