I'm considering a wiper persuit in the early AM. The lakes I fish around here (So. Utah) I've always done best from the half hour after sunset to and hour after dark. I primarily fly fish for them and what I'm curious to know, is if anyone else targets them early. I'm thinking half an hour before daybreak until who knows when. I'll be at Minersville so I can target trout while I'm over there but would like any hear of any experiences you all have had.

Never fished for wipers in southern Utah, but I hit Willard Bay regularly. I have no clue why wipers feed when they do and haven't found any pattern to predict good fishing for them. It seems that when I do get into them, the bite is hot and heavy, but can happen any time. I already admit to being clueless, but I suspect it has much more to do with bait fish activity in a particular location than it has to do with time of day.
