Boat Blind Suggestions Needed

I have a 16' Havoc with the V-Nose (if that matters). Previously had a Low 16x48 with the square nose and a Beavertail blind.

Does anyone have a great boat blind suggestion? I thought the Beavertail was just okay. I did not love the cross braces being in my way when I needed to move up and down the boat for launching and loading. With that said the Beavertail was easy to set up, easy to take down, easy to use, and provided some shelter from the elements (we used to run the Buddy Heater under it).

However, as I look at options in the marketplace, it seems like many of them are even more intrusive (and less intuitive) than the beavertail. Does anybody have a design they love?

Boat blinds are a pain! They are always in the way, they are very heavy when wet and the grass has a short life span. I don’t care for permanent boat blinds.

If I had to choose one though, it would be the fastgrass blind from MudBuddy. It folds up and down nicely without bars across the bow and stern.

Make that 2 votes for the fast grass. We had their shaggy blind too and even though it doesn't look like it matches anything around here the birds didn't seem to care.

My beef with the beaver tail (never used one just looked at them online) is how does one go about getting out of that thing where it completely folds over the top?

When I had duck boat, I had a couple blinds and never liked them.

I found it much easier and faster to use a simple roll of blind material (military style) and roll it out over the boat once you’re tied off in your spot. When you’re ready to leave, just roll it up and off you go.

Using this method, it seemed the birds wouldn’t flare and they’d decoy better.

I didn’t like my boat blind. As said, always in the way, a sail when windy, and heavy when wet. If I had to do it again, I’d ditch the blind altogether and just park the boat out of sight once I got to my desired location. It was just a pain.
