Scammed by an outfitter

Maybe. But the very idea of paying a dude a single dime for something I do on my own all the time is beyond ridonkulous .

Wow this blew up. I'd ask for his liability insurance indemnity- anyone who does any official service or consulting/contracting has insurance. Being a registered LLC and licensed outfitter is different, if I remember correctly.

The contract part where it says refund over 12 months and approved is absolutely bogus. I'd never sign that in a million years. Looks like it was a contract made on google.

There should be, at a minimum, a failure to perform clause.

Did OP have a contract signed?

It's a shame that this individual may be taking advantage of folks. But I'd be very careful what's written by you all. If this ever came to litigation, some of the mentioned comments could be used as liable, harassment, defamation of character, and so on.

If you feel you've been scammed, and wronged, file a report with the authorities to get the ball rolling. Maybe call Gephardt and see if he could expose the problem.

If in fact he has taken funds without producing a product, Then this DUDE is dirtbag and needs to be shut down ASAP.

I hunted with this guy some 7 ish years ago. as a favor to someone else who was trying to help him get started. 3 days guiding public land on the Unitas. No meals, bring your own gear, we even had to use my truck. He sent a friend that had been shown the area briefly and only gave us a day and a half of guiding, before bailing as he was a football coach. Needless to say we saw nothing and were very disappointed, it was a total joke for my brother and I. Communication was poor and when things go bad he hides or runs. Sad that he has still not cleaned up his act. What a shame. He really should not be in this business as he lacks the skills to do this right in any real way.
