I had a clown bishop (actually I had several growing up) when I was 18 call me in to start prepping me for a mission (not happening, never was a thought for me). Anyway, senior in high school, I had long hair, down to my shoulders at the time. He asked me to cut it off because it was a bad example to set for others. As he finished, i leaned to the side of my chair, and stared around him at the pic of Christ on the wall behind his desk. I said “is Jesus not the example to follow?” “His reply was Jesus is always the example to follow and live up to”. I said “take a look at the length of his hair, think about your comments about mine for a week and get back to me” and I left. I hadn’t even made it home and he had already called my mom to tell me how out of line I was to question someone such as himself and his power and authority and mocked our lords appearance 🤣 this was all on the heels of him finding out I had a girlfriend after seeing us in public and I wouldn’t tell him any details about our extracurricular activities, if there were any at all, which he also called my mom to tell her about. Her reply was “yes we are aware of her and them hanging out. He has 2 parents looking after him. He doesn’t need a 3rd”.

I know this is off topic, but looking back at the interrogations we got a kids alone with these guys behind closed doors, was/is extremely inappropriate. I would never allow that to happen with my kids. Ever. Lots of these old guys are creeps and it is NONE of their business. If you’re an active member with kids and allow them to go to these bishop interviews alone, consider very carefully about you insisting to sit in with your kids. I bet half the questions they ask these kids in private would never be asked if parents were sitting there in the same room.
This post surprises the hell out of me. I always had you pegged as somewhat of a rule follower and a conformist.

I was hoping for new developments over the weekend. Excellent reading.

!!!BIG UPDATE!!!

I just talked to the landowner (a very nice guy) who owns the property that we were supposed to hunt. Zack did not have permission to cow elk hunt on the land!

He sold Zack permission to have two elk hunts in there only. A muzzleloader bull elk, and a kids elk hunt. When I was working out dates with Zack he told me there had already been 6 groups of cow hunters go up there and hunt already. It sounds like the land owner didn’t want any cow hunters in there

Basically, the land owner found out Zack was bringing a ton of people onto his property and gave him the boot. He also said that he has been called by another guy with the exact same story as me, and mentioned some guy that came out from California that also got taken for a ride.

Still no response from Zack to you tho??
I'd be blowing him up from a buddies or GF phone. He was eager to take my money no questions asked.
Take him to small claims court and make sure you add your time to the expense. Document everything.
I hope this scumbag gets what's coming to him.

No response from him. He hasn't blocked my number as far as I can tell, the second to last call attempt I made was answered. It sounded like a kid accidentally answered the call, I could here back ground noise and a woman say "what call is that" before they hung up. I called back and it rang through to voicemail. Small claims court is 100% going to happen.

Have you by chance contacted Bountiful PD if he does in fact live in Bountiful? I'd call them and talk to a detective about your case and press criminal charges against him. This may in fact result in a felony with the amount.

Edited post... That is in fact him in Bountiful. I have some access to some records that confirmed the name, address, phone number, etc...

PRESS CRIMINAL CHARGES!!!!

Eggs are too expensive anymore unless you have a number of hens supplying them.

Costco TP gets the nod
Yeah, don't waste food. I've TP'ed some A-holes house once, back when I was in high school. Great "midnight mission" fun with your friends, and mostly harmless. It was such fun, I still remember it some 30ish years later.

Minimal use one enitre costco pack, two if your being ambitious. You have to unfurrrel one end of the roll to create a streamer before you toss it overhead. Work fast, work quietly, keep the giggling to a minimum. For maximum "up yours" effect, do it before it rains, or before his sprinklers turn on if you know when. Once that paper gets wet, its a mofo to clean up. I ought to know, ive had my parents house TPed while in HS too, though I still don't know who I pissed off. Trees too, large trees are a bitch to clean up.

All fun aside though, probably not a good idea if your about to take him to court, your the first person he's going to look at for vandalism charges in return.

Exactly.. Don't do things that end up costing you more.. This is another reason to have a police report with charges against the dude. You have the evidence. Should be pretty simple. If it were me, and I was out $1500, I'd be all over it!

Especially if the landowner will testify this yahoo didn't have permission to the property he sold you on hunting.
